Student Creativity Center (PKM) Corner UII, which was inaugurated as part of the Directorate of Student Development of the Islamic University of Indonesia, has become an important initiative in developing creativity and innovation among students. With the slogan “Creating Innovation, spreading inspiration", PKM Corner has established itself as a major platform to improve the research and innovation capabilities of UII students.
PKM Corner aims to improve the atmosphere of research and innovation in UII through several ways:
- Improving student achievement through various programs and creativity competitions.
- Train students to think creatively and develop their soft skills.
- Encourage the production of creative proposals that can meet national funding and selection standards.
The target of this program is all uii students, who are expected to take advantage of the facilities and services offered to hone their skills in innovating and competing at a higher level.
PKM Corner provides a variety of services that include:
- Administrative management related to the submission of PKM proposals.
- Assistance during the process of making and uploading proposals to the SIMBELMAWA platform.
- Preparation and implementation for the National Student scientific week (PIMNAS).
PKM Corner activities are divided into several phases, ranging from pre-funding to implementation at PIMNAS. Some of the main activities include:
- Workshops and seminars for the creation and submission of proposals.
- Mentoring and monitoring sessions to prepare teams that qualify for PIMNAS.
- Joint quarantine and simulation for teams that will compete in PIMNAS.
From 2020 to 2024, PKM Corner has recorded several significant achievements, including:
- Submission of 2563 proposals with 235 of them received funding.
- 41 teams managed to qualify for PIMNAS with 8 medals won.
The success indicator of this program is measured through the number of submitted proposals, the number of proposals that passed funding, and the success of the team at PIMNAS.
